Trust & Safety

Understand payments before you contribute

Celnoia helps birthday hosts collect guest contributions, manage event payments, and receive payouts with clear rules, Stripe processing, and safety checks built into the flow.

How Celnoia protects contribution flows

Protected contributions use conditional release wording: funds move only when the relevant event conditions are met.
Stripe handles card processing and Connect onboarding; Celnoia does not store raw card numbers.
Refund and payout timing can vary based on event status, platform checks, and Stripe processing.
This page explains the trust flow in plain language; the Terms and Privacy Policy contain the formal platform rules.

Payments

Card payments are processed by Stripe. Celnoia does not store raw card details; we store transaction references, amounts, status, and payout records needed to run the platform.

Refunds

If a paid event does not meet the required conditions to lock, eligible guest payments are refunded according to the event rules. Guests may also request a pre-lock refund where the event flow allows it.

Payouts

Hosts and celebrants must complete Stripe Connect onboarding before receiving eligible funds. Payout timing depends on the event status, payment checks, fraud review, and Stripe account readiness.

Cancellations and disputes

If a host cancels or materially changes a paid celebration, payment and refund handling follows Celnoia's platform rules and the event state. We may review disputes before funds are released.

Verification

Hosts who receive payouts complete Stripe Connect verification. Celnoia may also review account, event, and activity signals before allowing paid experiences to move forward.

Fraud checks

Payouts may be delayed when unusual activity, payment disputes, incomplete verification, safety concerns, or suspected fraud require extra review.
